This lamp base is the result of the collaboration between two major artists of the revival of ceramics in Vallauris: Jean Derval and Roger Capron. They are nicknamed, along with Robert Picault, the “Three Roosters” and have each developed their own style that left a lasting mark on the arts of fire in France. This piece, with a surrealist theme, echoes the motif of the sun.
Signed with a hollow stamp “Capron Vallauris France.”
