A rare pair of “Ondulation” armchairs designed by Jean Royère circa 1950, from an original set of four.

Each armchair features a solid light oak frame with a distinctive backrest composed of two cylindrical uprights and two flat crossbars decorated with Royère's signature undulating motif. The elegantly tapered armrests extend from the front legs, creating a harmonious and sculptural silhouette.

The seats feature fixed cushions resting on wooden cores, complemented by removable seat and back cushions. Both armchairs are upholstered in blue fabric, which is not original.

The chairs retain their remarkable original wood patina and have undergone careful upholstery restoration, with no structural restoration reported.
